CAMERON WINS NASCAR WEST RACE AT IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY

IRWINDALE, Calif. (July 22, 2006) -- Austin Cameron won the King Taco 200 race for the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series at Irwindale Speedway.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which includes the Busch East Series.

Cameron averaged 85.337 mph over the race distance. HisHH margin of victory was 1.6 seconds over runner up Eric Holmes. The margin was a large one for the highly competitive West Series. Johnny Borneman, Steve Portenga and Mike David rounded out the top five.

Mike David holds a slender, one-point lead over Peyton Sellers in the race for the championship. Sellers, a rookie, won the Bud Pole Award with a qualifying lap averaging 97.297 mph.

The 200-lap race around Irwindale's high-banked half-mile facility drew a field of 28 starters.
