SCOTT LYNCH SET FOR ANOTHER TOP FINISH

Las Vegas -- With seven out of eight podium finishes under his belt, NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series point leader Scott Lynch heads for California Speedway and the Relocate Here 200 Presented by San Bernardino County on Friday, Sept. 2.

Extremely familiar with all the ins and outs of fast California Speedway, Lynch is definitely looking forward to this upcoming round. "Racing at Fontana is really awesome, he says. "It suits my style of driving and the passing is excellent. We took a third last time out after starting at the back of the field due to an engine change. This time our goal is to put our Harris Trucking/Mr. Gas Dodge out in front from the very beginning. Two of the keys to doing well at this Speedway is having both a good car and lots of horsepower and we have that with our Dodge and our Kroyer Racing engine. This is a race I would really like to win and come race day, we will be ready to give it our all."

Leading the Championship chase by a margin of 58 points, Lynch has been enjoying a very successful season. With eight races completed, he has amassed seven consecutive podium finishes, including two wins and 4 runner-up positions, won the most money, led the most laps and completed the most laps.

"Everyone on the team is very, very motivated," says Lynch, who earned both Rookie of the Year honors and the West title in 2003. We want to bring home the title for a second time. Our game plan is to keep being consistent and finishing on the podium. That is definitely the way to win a championship and that is what we intend to do."

A one-day event, teams will practice, qualify and then race all on September 3. "This puts a lot of emphasis on the crew," explains the popular Burley, Idaho native. "But, this serves to give us a slight edge as we have one of the most together crews around. We get two practice sessions and that should give us ample opportunity to get our Harris Trucking/Mr. Gas Dodge dialed in.

Qualifying for the 100 Lap/200 Mile Relocate Here Presented by San Bernardino County will take place at 4:30 PM with racers taking the Green Flag at 8:00 PM. Live coverage can be seen on HDNet with an enhanced replay being broadcast on SPEED, Oct 7 at 1:00 PM (ET).
