ROSEBURG, Ore (Sept. 20, 2004) -- Scott Lynch needed two days to do it but he won the NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Douglas County Speedway in the NASCAR Grand National Division West Series. Lynch is the defending series champion.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which include the Busch North Series. The two series use the same Goodyear Eagles for the short track and speedway applications, which means that when the eligible BNS teams travel to Irwindale Speedway for the NASCAR All-Star event after the end of the regular season, they will be using the same dependable Goodyear tires they grew accustomed to during the year.

The Roseburg race started on Saturday, Sept. 18 but was stopped by inclement weather after 68 laps. The race was resumed the next day.

Lynch started fourth. He took the lead on the 120th lap of the 200-lap event around the half-mile track. Duncan started on the pole after posting a lap averaging 117.609 mph in qualifying and led until Lynch slipped by him.

David Gilliland finished second in the race, 1.675 seconds behind the winner. Duncan, Scott Gaylord and Brett Thompson finished the top five.

Duncan, who has not won a race yet this season, continues to lead the championship standings over Austin Cameron, who has won four times. Duncan leads 1,496-1,413.
