HARRAKA BREAKS INTO NASCAR WEST WIN COLUMN AT CNS

DACONO, Colo. (Aug. 17, 2009) -- Fans of short track racing in the western United States know that a driver who wins at Colorado National Speedway has done something. The 3/8-mile oval produces some of the most competitive racing in the region.

Paulie Harraka, a rookie driver in NASCAR's Camping World Series West, has done something. Harraka collected his first Camping World Series West win in the Toyota-NAPA 150 at CNS when he edged Jim Warn at the finish.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Camping World Series East and West divisions, as well as for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. The tiremaker supplies the same line of bias-ply tires to all three divisions.

Harraka led the final 42 laps at CNS and beat Warn to the finish by less than a quarter of a second. The winner averaged 62.496 mph. The race was slowed by only three caution periods.

Moses Smith finished third, followed by Greg Pursley and Jeff Jefferson. Eric Holmes posted the best time in time trials, averaging 80.159 mph on his best lap.

Jason Bowles leads the title chase with 1,823 points. Holmes is next with 1,786.
