TRACY, Calif. (Sept. 15, 2008) -- Jason Fenzler had the car to beat and he beat everyone with it, taking the Golden State Steel & Stair 200 at Altamont Raceway Park. The race was part of the NASCAR Camping World Series West schedule.

Fenzler led the final 41 of the race's 200 circuits of the half-mile Altamont oval.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Camping World Series West and East programs. The same tires Goodyear manufactures for the Camping World Series applications are also supplied to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Fenzler averaged 55.753 mph over the race distance. His performance was all the more impressive due to the strength of the field. The starting field had 28 cars and there were 33 entries. The starting lineup included drivers from seven U.S. states and one Canadian province.

David Mayhew finished second, followed by Jeff Barkshire, Eric Holmes and Austin Cameron. Jason Bowles started on the pole after recording a lap averaging 99.448 mph during time trials.

Holmes now leads Bowles 1,933 points to 1,865 in the championship race.
