(South Boston,VA) The USAR Hooter's ProCup Northern Division bounces into Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway on Saturday, August 2nd for the Hooter's Pro Cup Series Lucas Oil 250. This will mark the first time for the Northern Division of racing's hottest short track series will compete at the fabled 4/10 mile oval. Local favorite Jay Fogleman (Durham, NC) will bring his experience and competitive fire for a shot at posting his first stock car victory at "America's Hometown Track" since 1999. Also making his first Northern Division start is 2000 South Boston winner, Hal Goodson. Along with winners Goodson and Fogleman are Virginia drivers Charlie Ford (Charles City, VA) and Chad Beahr (Mechanicsville, VA) who are looking to post their first career victories for the home state crowd.
NASCAR Coor's Light Late Models will also compete in Twin 75s. Philip Morris is currently the series point leader, but in hot pursuit are Dean Ward and Jimmy Mullins. Mullins has mixed it up with Morris all year long and Ward is pursuing the checkered flag with a vengeance for his Dolly's Gang Team. After finishing strong in the last two events, Scott Worley (Long Island, VA) is also zeroing in on his first victory of the season.
With 450 laps of hot and heavy, short track action, which also includes the Allison Legacy Series, Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway is the place to be on Saturday night.
