Rain forces South Boston racing action to be rescheduled for Sunday

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. -- Steady rain throughout the late afternoon forced the postponement of NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series races action Saturday evening at South Boston Speedway.

The five-event GCR Night program will be made up Sunday afternoon. The first race of the afternoon will get the green flag at 2 p.m.

The featured attraction of the day will be a 150-lap race for the drivers in the NASCAR Dodge Pepsi Late Model Stock Car Division.

Other events slated include 50-lap races for the Barkhouser Limited Sportsman Division and the touring Rolling Thunder Modifieds and 30-lap events for the Grand Stock Division and the Applebee's Pure Stock Division.

Pit gates will open Sunday at 10 a.m. and grandstand gates will open at 12:00 p.m. Qualifying time trials will get the green flag at 12:30 p.m.

Adult admission for Sunday's race will be $8 up to 1:30 p.m. and $10 after that point. Youth, ages 10 through 15, will be admitted for $5 and children under the age of 10 will be admitted free with a paid adult.
