EVENT REVIEW: Steven Christian, who no longer competes with the series, rocketed past hometown favorite Rick Crawford to win his second series event in six days. Christian took the lead from Crawford with 12 laps remaining to record his second career series victory. The first half of the 200-lap event was dominated by Bud Pole winner Toby Porter and Crawford with Crawford taking the lead on lap one when Porter's car slipped off the racing surface in turn one. Crawford, now a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor, thought he had the event well in hand until Christian passed Toby Porter's machine for second place on lap 187 then caught Crawford's car in turns three and four on the next lap. Crawford trailed Christian to the finish line by only .15 seconds.
