Fontaine finishes 23rd at Kentucky after taking 27th at Nashville with broken rearend.

After having a disappointing race at the 1.33 mile Nashville Superspeedway June 7, Chris Fontaine and the Advance/Discount Auto Parts/Suntrust #46 team brought home a 23rd place finish at the 1.5 mile Kentucky Motor Speedway on June 14 to maintain Chris' 22nd spot in the 2002 Hills Bros. All Pro, Nascar Touring points.

After starting the race in Nashville in the 35th spot and working his way up, Chris had to go out on lap 69 when the rearend gears went out on the car.

He was credited with a 27th place finish for the race, dropping him three spots to 25th in the points race.

But, Chris and the team took the car back to Auburndale,FL, fixed it, regrouped, and went to Kentucky to restore his standing.

Chris qualified the Advance/Discount Auto Parts/Suntrust #46 in 33rd at Kentucky to start the race.

He quickly moved up and got up to 15th place on the leader board by lap 25. He came in the pits to adjust the left rear spring. "It helped, but it was still pushing," Chris said.

The Nashville race will be televised on the SPEED channel on June 24th, and the Kentucky race will be televised on the SPEED channel on July 22nd.
