FIELD: 34 cars. Starting positions 1-30 will be determined by time trials (2 laps). Positions 31-34 will be available to any of the top 30 eligible drivers in the current 1997 NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series Championship point standings, who have entered the event, but have not qualified for one of the original 30 starting positions. If a starting position(s) remains unfilled, then that starting position(s) will become available to the next eligible car from the qualifying procedure for the event.

THE RACE: The Bi-Lo Bonuscard 200 is the 13th of 20 races on the 1997 series schedule. Consisting of 200 laps, the event is the second Slim Jim All Pro Series event to be held at Greenville-Pickens Speedway this year.

1996 REVIEW: In one of his seven starts in 1996, 1995 NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series Champion Hal Goodson picked up his only win in '96. Greenville's Toby Porter was second over eventual '96 Champion Mike Cope and Scott Sutherland and Shane Hall rounded out the top five.

Dick Anderson, subbing for his son Wayne who was competing in a NASCAR Busch North Series event in Loudon, NH, will turn the wheel of the Porter Cable Power Tools Chevrolet back over to his son. The elder Anderson blistered the field in the spring event.
