FIELD: 32 cars. Fastest 26 cars through time trials (2 laps). Six provisional starting positions, including four based on the current Slim Jim All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring point standings and possibly one provisional position for a former champion of the series who will have also raced in a series points event in 1999. One additional provisional position has been established which will be assigned to any of the top 20 drivers in the current 2000 RE/MAX Challenge Series, NASCAR Touring point standings.

Racing at Bristol is always one of the highlights of each season for the Slim Jim All Pro Series competitors. This race represents the sixth visit by the Slim Jim All Pro Series to Bristol's high banks.
1999 REVIEW: Concord, N.C.'s Conrad Burr held off a quartet of Florida drivers to earn his first career Slim Jim All Pro Series victory in the zMAX 100. Eventual 1999 Series Champion Wayne Anderson finished second ahead of Ronnie Burkett, David Reutimann and Billy Bigley, Jr. Eventual 1999 Rookie-of-the-Year Coy Gibbs earned the Bud Pole Award. The 100 lap race established the record for a race of that length at 42 minutes, 26 seconds and Burr's winning average speed was 75.365 mph. His margin of victory was 0.424 seconds. Twenty one of 32 starters were on the lead lap when the checkered flag waved and 27 of 32 starters were running at the end of the race. There were three caution flags for 25 laps and five lead changes amongst three drivers with Gibbs, Burr and Rick Roller leading laps.
