EVENT REVIEW: Wayne Anderson locked in his 14th career victory in winning the Real Saver 250 which was again run in conjunction with the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring. This is the second consecutive year these two divisions have competed on the same night. Freddie Query made his only start of 2000 in a big way winning the Bud Pole then leading the first 106 laps. 2000 Gatorade All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring Champion Billy Bigley Jr. ducked under Query's machine as the two cars went into turn one to take the points. Then Query's night ended on lap 125 when he hit the wall in turn one to bring out the fifth race caution. When some of the leaders pitted for fresh rubber, Randy Gentry took the point and had a strong run going in pursuit of his first career victory until his car made contact with the inside wall in turn one on lap 211. When the field went back to racing, Bigley restarted in fifth, moved to second and closed on Anderson but could not overtake the leader, trailing Anderson to the checkered flag by only .241 seconds.
