One of the country's top young drivers continues to post impressive late model finishes at one of the most respected NASCAR weekly sanctioned facilities in the nation.

After collecting his first career late model win two weeks ago at Lanier National Speedway, located just northeast of Atlanta, Peter Petropoulos logged a solid second place run in Saturday night's 50-lap feature event.

With two poles and a victory in 2003, Petropoulos is determined to maintain consistency with his Battle Builders Inc-sponsored team.

"Consistency is real important, but we're still not there," said Petropoulos. "We just want to finish out with a good season."

"We had a team talk this week and we want to have more nights like tonight where we finished second and brought the car home in one piece."

"Being young, sometimes it's hard to be patient. I'm going to have to work on that."

Petropoulos and the No. 28 Battle Builders Chevrolet will be back in action on Saturday July 19 at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Ga.
