ROUGEMONT, N.C. (June 3 2000)-Inclement weather forced postponement of the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring, Orange County Speedway 125 Saturday evening at Orange County (NC) Speedway. The event has been rescheduled for June 17 2000 with the field set from qualifying action earlier in the afternoon. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. on June 17 with practice set to begin at 2:00 p.m. The race should take the green flag at approximately 8:30 p.m. Justin Hobgood, Winnsboro, N. C. garnered his second consecutive and third career Bud Pole, turning the 3/8-mile oval in 14.557 Secs (92.739 mph) with his Wynn's/Precision Engine Service Pontiac to lead the 27 car field in qualifying. Hobgood also had the Bud pole at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 24. Starting outside front row with Hobgood will be Scott Weaver in his Weaver Race Cars/Jim Cook Chevrolet Pontiac. Jake Hobgood will start third followed by Johnny Chapman and Cam Strader. The next event for the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring series will be at South Boston Speedway on June 9 as a prelude to the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division event on June 10. The event will be televised on a tape-delayed basis by TNN to be shown on July 2 2000 at 4:00 PM (ET).
