It's Now Official: Bailey Takes Win Number 2 At ODS; New Grand Stock Procedure This Week------

Jack Bailey from Stafford Va. crossed the stripe after 100 grueling laps at the Old Dominion Speedway last Saturday night. But the driver of the Century 21 Team Ford had to wait until late yesterday to celebrate his second win in 2005, as the carburetor from his machine was sent to NASCAR in Daytona Beach. After careful inspection, NASCAR officials deemed the part legal, and gave the win to the young driver. This puts Bailey 6 points ahead of Richard Boswell Jr. and John Gunter in the B/G Products NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car points chase. Bailey and the other Late Model drivers return to ODS this weekend for a 75-lap event.

Other news at ODS--..

This weekend, new procedures for the Redman Fleet Service Grand Stocks will be in effect. All Grand Stocks will be impounded promptly after qualifying for their 50-lap event. Once the cars complete the 2-lap qualifying attempt, they will be parked on pit road, and will not be allowed to serviced in any way, with the exception of adding / subtracting air from the tires, or the removal of tape from the grille from qualifying. No other adjustments, additions, etc. will be allowed.
