What will the new qualifying look like this coming season?

NASCAR has confirmed it will be changing the qualifying procedure in the Nationwide and Truck series this season.

Robin Pemberton confirmed the change but would not elaborate on it.

The new format, which could be a qualifying race, group qualifying or a knockout system like in the open wheel ranks.

While a change was expected on the horizon for all three series, Pemberton said the normal single car runs, and duel races will remain the same for the season opening Daytona 500.

The Truck and Nationwide series will be using whatever the new system is this coming February at Daytona.
