*The Series has competed 17 times at Myrtle Beach Speedway. Andy Belmont won the first event in 1988. In 2000 Cam Strader collected his first Series win on his way to becoming Rookie of the Year.

*The Qualifying record is held by Brian Sockwell, set in 1997 @ 19.870 seconds for an average speed of 97.474 mph. 2000 Bud Pole Winner was Keith Roggen with a time of 20.789 seconds/93.165 mph.

*Top 5 Finishers in 2001: 1. Cam Strader; 2. Jake Hobgood; 3. Justin Hobgood; 4. Robert Huffman; 5. Jimmy Britts.

*Cam Strader returned to form last week at NEW RIVER VALLEY SPEEDWAY. He has several reasons to get to victory lane at Myrtle Beach. He will be looking to defend his title as last year's race winner. His team sponsor is also the sponsor of the event. The chase for the 2001 Championship is closing in as only five races remain in the season. "I feel the pressure," said Strader. "We had some setbacks for a couple events and the points tightened up. I just keep reminding myself to stay focused on winning and running well. You have to try hard to keep that focus and not let the pressure get to you."
