NASCAR Elite Division Officials Announce Penalty

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 21, 2003) -- NASCAR Elite Division officials have announced a penalty following Saturday's International Truck and Engine Corporation Midwest Series race at Wisconsin Dells Motor Speedway.

John Signore, crew chief for the No. 8 Chevrolet driven by Eddie Hoffman, was fined $250 and penalized under section 12-4-A of the 2003 NASCAR Rule Book: Actions detrimental to stock car racing and section 12-4-Q: any determination by NASCAR officials that parts and/or equipment used in the event do not conform to NASCAR rules, altered carburetor throttle body (base plate).
