Strader'S frustration continues with third straight crash.

Coeburn, VA (May 11, 2002) NASCAR Goody's Dash Series' defending Champion, Cam Strader and teammate Kelly Sutton exited the race on the same lap for the second event in a row. And this time, another driver, Mike Watts, joined them. Ironically, Watts' team rents space at Strader's shop.

Strader was also involved in a crash in his ARCA car at the Nashville Speedway last month.

"This is the kind of streak you want to break in a hurry," said Strader. "This Wesson Cooking Oil crew is working their tales off, and I wanted to reward them with a great finish tonight. We can't seem to catch a break this year."

Strader said (with a frustrated grin), "I really don't want to talk about it. All I can say is that we need to get this monkey off our back. Maybe going back to a great facility like the Lowe's Motor Speedway where I won last year will help us turn our luck around."

"I've raced long enough to know that these things come in spurts and you just have to work through it. This will show the true measure of a team, and I'm sure we'll bounce back. I heard Richard Petty say once that you make your own luck. We had enough good luck last year to last some racers a whole career." he said.

The Dash Series competitors travel to the beautiful Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina for their next event. The 67 lap, 100 mile event will be held on May 23rd at 9:00p.m.

The Tom Johnson Camping Center/Easy Care Vehicle Service Contracts 100 is scheduled to be televised on a tape-delayed basis. Broadcast details have yet to be announced.
