Craftsman Tools Night at the Races set at Bullring.

LAS VEGAS-- The Orleans NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge returns to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday night for Craftsman Tools Night at the Races.

The series includes NASCAR Late Models (40 laps), NASCAR Outlaw Stocks (30 laps), NASCAR Chargers (25 laps), Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks (100 laps), Bandolero Cars (10 laps) and Thunder Roadsters (10 laps).

In NASCAR Late Model action, Thane Alderman narrowed the gap in the hunt for the championship after twin main events last Saturday. He stands a mere three points behind division leader Scott Gafforini, who is fourth in the NASCAR Sunbelt Region standings.

The NASCAR Charger championship point battle is intense after Travis Swalwell posted his first win of the season last Saturday and Doug Matter finished third. Matter managed to catch leader Guy Griebel and both are tied for the lead, while Swalwell is one point behind in third.

The NASCAR Outlaw Stocks return this Saturday after a one-race break. Mark Schottmuller leads Glen Burke by nine points.

Pit gates open at 2:30 p.m. Admission to the pits is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.

Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. General admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $3 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $25. Admission to the Stockyard is $35 per vehicle (up to four people).
