LAS VEGAS-- A double dose of Legends Cars are on tap at the Bullring as part of The Orleans NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge Saturday.
The INEX-sanctioned cars will compete in twin 25-lap main events. David Anderson leads Rick Rogas and rookies Alex Haase and Taylor "The Bomber" Barton in championship point standings. Anderson and Rogas are looking to post their second victories this season. The battle for rookie of the year honors heats up as Haase, 12, looks for his first win and Barton, 17, comes off his first win this past Saturday.
Thane Alderman continues to lead the NASCAR Late Model division after collecting his fourth win this season. Scott Gafforini remains second in track standings after posting a disappointing 15th-place finish last week. Chuck Trickle is four points behind Gafforini in third.
NASCAR Chargers return to the Bullring this week after a month-long break. Points leader Travis Swalwell looks to post his second win this season.
Saturday night's lineup includes NASCAR Late Models (40 laps), NASCAR Outlaw Stocks (25 laps), NASCAR Chargers (20 laps), Bandolero Cars (10 laps) and Thunder Roadsters (15 laps).
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. Racing begins at 6 p.m. General admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $3 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $25. Admission to the Stockyard is $35 per vehicle (up to four people).
Pit gates open at 2:30 p.m. Admission to the pits is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.
