Keith Hoffman finishes third in Northeast Region of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 26, 2002) - Keith Hoffman, of Whitehall, Pa., captured his third consecutive track championship at Big Diamond Raceway in Minersville, Pa. and has been invited to represent the track at the prestigious NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge awards banquet, Nov. 2 in Nashville. Hoffman, who recorded three wins and 14 top-five finishes overall in Big Diamond's Modified division, finished third in the series' Northeast Region standings and will collect nearly $20,000 in post-season awards.

The NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge is NASCAR's national championship program for weekly short track competitors. Eighty participating tracks nationwide are divided into eight geographic regions and a regional championship is decided in each. Regional championships are determined by the Competition Performance Index (CPI), a statistical formula that ranks each driver based on several competitive factors. The eight regional champions are then compared against each other to determine the national champion.

Buck Catalano, of Ontario, N.Y., won this season's Northeast Region championship competing at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y. Peter Daniels, of Lebanon, N.H., won the New England Region and national championship after posting 14 victories in Claremont (N.H.) Speedway's NASCAR Modified division.
