Third Annual July Blastoff set July 3 at Bullring.

LAS VEGAS-- The Third Annual July Blastoff is set for Wednesday, July 3 at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Race fans can expect a spectacular night of fire featuring a jet car burn, demolition derby, Canadian Big Rig exhibition, NASCAR Late Model 75-lap feature, 30-lap I.M.C.A. Modified and Legends Cars features with a fireworks finale.

In addition, the first 700 fans in the spectator gates will receive a free patriotic T-shirt.

The metal-mangling, tire-rubbing demolition derby will be the first this season, along with the jet car appearance. A dragstrip-legal jet car will attempt to light a car on fire just prior to spectacular fireworks show.

NASCAR Late Model action will be intense with a $1,200 winner's share. Thane Alderman and Scott Gafforini will battle head-to-head for the championship points lead.

I.M.C.A. Modifieds return for the second time this season, while the weekly popular Legends Cars return after a weekend off.

Racing begins at 6 p.m. Pit gates open at 2:30 p.m. Admission to the pits is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. General admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $3 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $25. Admission to the Stockyard is $35 per vehicle (up to four people).
