LAS VEGAS-- Race fans can expect exciting race action for the NASCAR Late Model twin main events at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday night. The Bullring will honor the men and women who defend our country for Armed Forces Day; all military personnel with ID will receive a discounted admission ticket for $5 (up to three friends or family members will be admitted for the discounted price).
NASCAR Late Model drivers will compete in twin 30-lap main events as part of The Orleans NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge. NASCAR Chargers, Legends Cars, I.M.C.A. Modifieds, and Thunder Roadsters also will compete.
Scott "The Wizard" Gafforini has a two-point lead over Thane Alderman in the quest for the NASCAR Late Model championship followed by Steve Anderson and Chuck Trickle.
The I.M.C.A. Modifieds will make their first appearance this season at the Bullring. The division competes at both at the 1/2-mile dirt oval and the Bullring at LVMS. After one race at the dirt track, one point separates each of the 29 drivers. Jason Pike, Mark Allison, Donny Berger, Dan Fitzgerald and Joe Wiegman round out the top five.
Pit gates open at 2:30 p.m. Admission to the pits is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. General admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $3 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $25. Admission to the Stockyard is $35 per vehicle (up to four people).
