CORNELIUS, NC (January 31, 2003) - Randy Humphrey saw his racing program take a huge jump toward a more productive finish in 2002. Humphrey made additional changes during the off season and looks for to yet another leap, which hopefully will produce his first career win in the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series.

Any team owner will tell you that there are many vital components necessary to becoming successful. This involves a meticulous process of selecting individuals with certain skills and personality traits that mix well, along with good leadership.

Humphrey has signed Wesley Page, from Rock Hill (SC), to lead the team heading into 2003. "I am excited about working with Randy. He has the necessary ingredients to have a solid race team. Any Crew Chief likes knowing you have available to you what it takes to run up front," says Page.

Page cut his teeth in the Goody's Dash Series, literally. His father used to race in the series, and continues to be the Parts Supplier at the race track. "I came here with my dad twenty-years ago (Wesley is 25 years of age) when my dad became involved in the series. I took my first Crew Chief role with B. J. Mackey and also worked with Ricky Bryant."

"Being a Crew Chief carries a lot of responsibility. But, I like everything that comes with it. I like being real involved with every aspect of the team. I like being in the leadership role because you get to try things that you might not ever get to try just being a crew member."

When asked about Daytona, Page's comments turned to visiting victory lane. "I like building shocks. I have built a lot of shocks while working for my dad. My shocks have been to victory lane before. I'd like to make the visit to victory lane as a Crew Chief. For me, 2003 is looking like a great year. My wife Mary and I are expecting our first child, due in August. I am working with a great team that offers me stability. We have full-time guys working in the shop. I know we can be ready when the cars head to the track. I am excited about the year ahead."

Randy Humphrey will join a host of other teams making the trip to Daytona Beach for the annual Speedweeks. The Goody's Dash Series season opener is slated for Sunday, February 9, 2003 at 11am. See it live on Speed Channel.
