Wyatt Motorsports Adjusts Schedule
Newport News, VA- NASCAR Busch East Series-Being a first year, single car team can be tough when your only car suffers heavy damage. Running in 12th position on a restart at Greenville Pickens, Casey Wyatt's #23 was caught in a four car accident that has required some major repairs.
The car is having a new rear clip replaced as well as every part of the body, less the roof. With the car at Bobby Creech's in Ashland Va. having the rear Clip replaced; the car will not head to Charlotte for its new body until next week. This in turn has Wyatt Motorsports making adjustments to their 5 race schedule that they had planned.
The original itinerary was for Casey to run Greenville-Pickens, the East-West race in Iowa, both Loudon New Hampshire races and Dover. Team owner, Wayne Wyatt has decided the teams' next race will be at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford, CT on June 8th. The track is a semi banked 1/2 mile and will qualify Casey to run at New Hampshire on June 29. After New Hampshire the teams' plans are to run Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in Mansfield Ohio on August 25 and Dover International Speedway on September 21.
Wyatt stated, "Being a new team and running without primary sponsorship, we have to pick and choose the tracks that we feel will give Casey the most exposure that he can get. Each of the tracks on our revised schedule is different from the other. Stafford- being semi banked, New Hampshire- flat and fast, Mansfield- progressive banking and Dover- high banked.
The teams marketing personnel have started working to secure primary sponsorship for the 2008 season. We would like to be able to run for "Rookie of the Year" honors and a top 5 finish in the championship. Wyatt Motorsports is a team that can produce great results with the right partnership. We are looking for a sponsor that wants to build a program that includes much more then just placing their name on our car. Employee and customer relations are a big part of our plan. Working with a company to show how "Team Work" as it is in racing, will work to make their company and their employees excited and have that "do what ever it takes" attitude to be successful.
