Hernandez Picks Up Second Top-10 in Three Tries

"Drive for Diversity" Graduate Gaining Momentum in Camping World East Series

Huntersville, NC (June 30, 2009) --Jesus Hernandez's performance in the Heluva Good! Summer 125 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway showed once again that he's ready to take the next step of his promising career. One of NASCAR's most successful Drive for Diversity graduates, Hernandez piloted his Chivas/Telmex/Z-Line Designs Dodge to an eighth place finish among a field of 29 competitors. The effort marked Hernandez's second top-10 in three events.

Hernandez has competed in four Camping World East events this season for Troy Williams with Sean Watts Racing's Buffalo-based operation. In addition to his eighth-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the 27-year old developmental driver also finished eighth at Iowa Speedway on May 17 after starting 11th.

"It feels good to have a string of top-10 finishes," said Hernandez. "Each race I compete in, I feel like I'm learning and growing as a driver. It's nice working with a team like Troy Williams'. They give me good equipment and allow me to race hard and compete with the best guys in the Camping World East Series. Hopefully we've proved that we can do this week-in and week-out."
