LAKEVILLE, Connecticut (Wednesday, August 15, 2007) - - NASCAR Busch East Series driver Michelle Theriault will set a milestone in her resume this weekend as she joins the series for their lone road course trip to Lime Rock Park for Saturday's Mohegan Sun 200.

It's no secret that the 21-year old driver has no prior experience on the road course, but car owner Jeff Spraker has spent the last several weeks preparing his young driver for the challenge.

Theriault is ready to reel in a positive run in her No. 37 GLOCK, Inc. Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Saturday. "This weekend's race is probably one of the biggest challenges of the season," offered Theriault, a native of Connecticut. "Thankfully my team and sponsor have done everything to prepare me for my first road course race. I have learned an awful lot and I'm hoping that I can bank on that experience this weekend."

Theriault also knows that her Spraker Racing Enterprises team is bringing her one of the best road racing cars in the field. Spraker Racing Enterprises has shown incredible strength in the road racing events on the NASCAR Busch Series "South" tour, giving her some additional confidence heading into the 10th race of the season.

"Jeff is a master-mind when it comes to road courses," sounded Theriault. "He knows how to build the cars. He knows what a road racing car needs and I'm very excited about that. He finished second in a road racing event earlier this year at Infineon Raceway with road racing ace P.J. Jones. I've been lucky enough to chat with P.J. and he gave me a few pointers, so I'm feeling a little more relaxed than I was a few weeks ago."

The only full-time female NASCAR driver has also come to the realization she has to "race" another symbol this weekend. "It's not about racing my competitors; it's about racing the track. If you don't race the track, you will lose. My main goal heading into Lime Rock this weekend is to hit all of marks on the track. I'm sure we'll use some pit strategy along the way, but I have to use patience, take in the guidance and just focus on the job at hand. I'm going to give everything I have and hopefully it will be enough to nail our third top-10 finish of the season."

Theriault and Co. currently sit 12th in the championship standings, rising two spots after finishing 20th in her last event at Adirondack International Speedway. The former United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooter's Pro Cup Racing driver hopes to continue the climb as the season begins to wind down.

"We are a little over 100 points from entering the top-10," she said. "If we play our cards right the next couple of races, I think we can easily march our way into that kingdom. My team has given 150 percent all year long and I really would like to reward them with a top-10 championship finish."

The Mohegan Sun 200.Systems (82 laps/125.46 miles) is the 10th of 14 events on the 2007 NASCAR Busch East Series schedule. Practice begins Friday, August 17 beginning at 11:10am. An additional practice session is set to commence at 1:15pm. Busch pole Qualifying is set for later in the day rolling off at 4:45pm Local Time. The green flag will waive on Saturday, August 18 shortly after 12:30 pm Local Time.
