ROGELIO LOPEZ WANTS TO CELEBRATE HIS BIRTHDAY WITH A VICTORY AT ADIRONDACK

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 27, 2007) - Telmex/Lucas Oil driver Rogelio Lopez wants to celebrate his birthday with a victory in the ninth race of the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series schedule, which will be held at the half of a mile circuit in the Adirondack Internacional Speedway, which is located at Lowville, Nueva York.

"At the beginning of the series of races that have been held during this month, I've promised that I was going to achieve at least one win before my birthday and we've already got one on Sunday. However, the race at Adirondack is on July 28 and the next day is my birthday, that's why now I want a victory that is closer to my birthday to celebrate. Therefore, we are going for it this Saturday," Lopez said. He became the first Latin American to win on an oval in a NASCAR series, when he took the checkered flag at Nashville.

"Adirondack is a track that I did not have the opportunity to be there. In the previous years, from the Busch East races we chose to race. Adirondack was not in our racing package. I don't know it. It is an unusual track. It is almost a circle, and you hardly race with the steering wheel straight, because all the time you are turning".

"It is a track that doesn't have much banking, it's flat. I've heard that is wide and there's room to pass. I think that I will be adapted very well. Besides the team has been working very well in this kind of tracks with little banking," he said.

About his recent victory Rogelio added: "I'm really happy with the result obtained last week. Now it was done just a routine work to check that all is Ok. We are ready. The team headed to New York this Thursday and I left today in the morning."

"After the race I will go back to Mexico to visit my family after a long time. Also, I will celebrate my 27 years old. Later I will meet the Mexican media who have been supporting me very much."
