Northampton, PA . . . . Eric Beers made the short trip to Nazareth Speedway on Friday Morning to meet up with the Mataka 3n1 Motorsports team and begin practice. During the two practices the team overcame an oil leak and a problem with the transmission. Eric Time Trialed at 28.603, which was about two seconds off the fast time. The weekend in a USAC Coors Light Silver Bullet Car ended during the 15 Lap Qualifying race when the engine let go. Eric enjoyed the challenge of the USAC Car which is very different than the NASCAR modified he is used to. This however did not end Eric's racing schedule for the weekend.

From Nazareth Eric headed to Mahoning Valley Speedway to race in the Kocher Motorsports NASCAR Modified #12. After starting near the front Eric tires started to fade and he held onto a 8th place finish. On Sunday, it was back to Pocono Mountain Speedway where the Sunoco Race Fuels, Horwith Trucking, Brown Daub, Wynn's Driver is leading the points. Eric had an ignition box go bad in his heat race relegating him to the 18th starting position on the grid. Once the race started the #19 was on the move. Using several cautions to get in the position to be in the top ten then moved up to finish the race with a hard fought 6th place finish.

This week its back to Mahoning Valley Speedway Saturday night and to Pocono Mountain Speedway on Sunday for the Sunoco Race of Champions Qualifier. For more info visit www.beersmotorsports.com or call 610-261-9510.
