Daytona Beach , Florida May 26, 2000 - The NASCAR Goody's Dash Series Families Auxiliary has announced that they will participate in the opening ceremonies of the Vacation Bible School Program at the First Church of God in Drexel, North Carolina. The theme for the Bible School is "Road Rally 2000-In the Race With Jesus." The drivers of the Goody's Dash Series, a touring division of NASCAR, are always looking for opportunities to promote interest in charitable organizations often donating their time to offer encouragement for setting goals and working hard to achieve those dreams. The Vacation Bible School opening will begin on Sunday, June 4, 2000 at 6:30pm. The Bible School is scheduled to last for the entire week. Three time series champion Robert Huffman, who resides in nearby Claremont will be on hand along with series regular and Newton resident, Ned Combs. Combs and Huffman will have their racecars on display along with the Goody's Dash Series Official Pace Car. Part of the opening program will include the most famous words in auto racing, "Gentlemen Start Your Engines" as Huffman's and Combs' racecars will roar to life signaling the kickoff of Vacation Bible School 2000.
