ERIE, Colo. (June 5, 2004, 12:45pm MST) Eddy McKean joined 30 other NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Midwest Series drivers for the Auto Trader "150" today at Colorado National Speedway. McKean and crew unloaded the brand new Victory Circle Chassis the team just completed this past week. The new car coated in Eddy's traditional metallic teal blue and yellow numbers rolled through tech at 10:30 am with no issues.

The first practice is underway and the car is a bit loose coming out of the turns so the team has changed the front sway bar on adjusted the shocks to get a bit more bite. After the next practice session the team will probably change front springs.

Eddy toured the 3/8-mile oval with a quick lap of 16.624 seconds with most several Midwest Regulars clocking in with runs in the mid 16.500 range. We'll see if the changes helps the race setup, but the team is real close.

Doug George is on his way from the airport and should be arriving soon and will be able to through his insight at the setup. Qualifying is scheduled for 5pm and so the afternoon sun will probably come into play. 16 cars will make the show on time with four provisional starters and two transfers from the non-qualifiers race rounding out the field. There is a Southwest Series Provisional starting position available for Eddy, but the team is optimistic that they will not need it.
