COCA-COLA AND WINN-DIXIE TEAM UP FOR ST. AUGUSTINE SPEEDWAY PROMOTION

ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA.-Coca-Cola and the area Winn-Dixie Stores are teaming up to show their appreciation to their race fan customers by offering a two for one night at St. Augustine Speedway this Saturday night, June 19. On this special night of customer appreciation, race fans will need only to present a cash register receipt from any Winn-Dixie store showing that they purchased any Coca-Cola product to get two adults admitted for the regular single adult admission price of $10. Representatives of both, Coca-Cola and Winn-Dixie stores will be on hand with giveaways and prizes for St. Augustine Speedway race fans. In addition to the loot, a great evening of racing is on tap, featuring six NASCAR divisions competing in more than 200-laps of exciting NASCAR racing action. NASCAR Winston Racing Series Snap-On Sportsman Division point leader, Kenny Hall took over the top spot in the standings last week after a great run that netted the St. Augustine native his first win in the last five outings. Todd Ponce, who had been terrorizing the division in May, winning three straight features to close out the month, suffered engine failure two weeks ago, and the St. Augustine driver has yet to return. Larry Osteen took over the top spot in the Late Model Division point standings by picking up a second place finish in last Saturday's Late Model feature finishing just behind hometown driver, David Showers. Former division point leader, David Clegg, was missing from Saturday's competition fulfilling a prior engagement. Racing will get underway again this Saturday night at 7:30, but fans are urged to take advantage of the Coca-Cola two for one offer and get here early. Grandstand gates will open at 4:30 for the practice sessions, qualifying will start at 6:00, Heats at 7:00, and the feature events will roll off at 7:30. So stop by a Winn-Dixie, buy a Coke keep your cash register receipt and head out to St. Augustine Speedway. The speedway is located just three miles north of St. Augustine on US 1.
