Irwindale, Calif. - - "When Ed Doyle heard that we needed the use of one of our suites for a group of developmentally disabled residents from Casa Colina in Pomona; he called up and offered the Chatsworth Machine Company's suite," said track VP Bob DeFazio. "E Last year we were able to host the Casa Colina group in one of our own rental suites at the track, this year the suites were all spoken for so quickly that when Gus LaZer called from Casa Colina we were caught short, that's were Ed and CMC came to the 'rescue'. Doyle gave Casa Colina all 20 suite passes and VIP parking vouchers for the night and just said, 'Please have fun!', we really appreciate his generosity and community spirit. In our book Ed Doyle and the folks at CMC are all winners off and on the race track."

Driving the CMC entry in the hotly-contested NASCAR Super Late Models at Irwindale, the Simi Valley's own Tommy Fry won three races and finished third in the 2000 season championship only 114 points out of first place and 14 points out of second. He also took the CMC/JogMate-sponsored car to second place in the Miller ite Big 10 Challenge, "series within a series" that tallied points from 10 selected events toward an annual championship prize fund $10,000.00.
