Greenville, SC (July 15, 2002) - The NASCAR Goody's Dash Series traveled to the legendary Greenville-Pickens Speedway Saturday night for the running of the Kevin Whitaker 100.

Wilson, North Carolina native, Cam Strader, and his Wesson Cooking Oil/Peter Pan Peanut Butter/Heritage Bank team are solidly focused on the run to the championship. Strader continued his climb in the series' standings with his sixth place finish, and now sits third behind leader, Jake Hobgood, and Robert Huffman.

"We're 159 points out of the lead with six races remaining," said Strader before the event. "My crew guys are working hard and it's far being over. Jake (Hobgood) and Robert (Huffman) are running great, but we're headed to tracks that really compliment my driving style. The next race is in Kenly, NC where I cut my teeth in late-model cars. The race at the Southern National Speedway there in Kenly will be a good race for us. It's always good to race at your home track. The fans really get behind you, and our newest associate sponsor, Heritage Bank is based in the area, so we're looking forward to putting on a good show for all those guys."

Jake Hobgood showed the rest of the field just how much he likes the flat half-mile known as Greenville-Pickens Speedway. Hobgood commented after emerging from his racecar, "I love this place!" Jake Hobgood scores his second win of the season in the Kevin Whitaker 100. The win also helped him move ahead of Huffman by twenty points in the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Championship Points Standings.
