Andy Santerre - #44 EJP/Whelen Chevrolet (Winner) - A win is a win they always say. I've seen several Winston Cup races end under rain delay, and I said, 'man I really want to finish this thing under green.' We really had a good car. Its hard to say what would have gone wrong, but we were ok if it did go back to green because we had a pretty good car. Bryan (Wall, #77) was really fast and he was the only one I was really concerned with. I knew I had to get by him -- he's running for points and I'm not. We talked before the race. I told him that I would race him fare and square. I had a couple of chances to get by him, and I just didn't want to make the move because it was too risky. I made a move coming off the carrousel turn going down the short straight. I pulled along side and I got my nose inside of him going into the left hander. I though he knew I was there, but he came down on me and we made slight contact and he moved up the track.
Joe Varde - #35 Mitsubishi/Powertel Chevrolet (2nd place) - I was real lucky, I had a great time out here. I want to thank all of the Busch Series officials for letting us race and I know we were not regulars and it was pretty nice to let us race. The track was in great condition, it was a lot of fun. It was my first NASCAR race ever and I really enjoyed it.
