Busch North Series awards ceremony to be held Saturday, November 9, at historic Lowell Auditorium in Lowell, Mass.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 1, 2002)-- The 2002 Busch North Series, NASCAR Touring championship awards ceremony will be held Saturday, November 9 at the historic Lowell Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. At this gala event, more than $360,000 in posted awards will be distributed to the top finishers in the final 2002 Busch North Series point standings.

Known as "The Star of the Merrimack Valley," Lowell Auditorium has played host to hundreds of premier events throughout its history. Boxing greats Rocky Marciano and "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler won their first Golden Gloves championships here. Jay Leno, Dionne Warwick, Joe Cocker, David Copperfield and the musical Cats have played to sold-out audiences here.

In addition to crowning the 16th champion in Busch North Series history, several special awards will be presented during the November 9 event. They include the Bud Pole Award, Gatorade Front Runner Award, Flowmaster Star of the Year Award, Raybestos Rookie of the Year Award, Most Popular Driver, and special awards from Goodyear Tire.
