Mooresville, NC -- Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachusetts will be the venue for Paul Wolfe's next race, the fourth event in the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series season. The annual Budweiser 150 is scheduled for Saturday, May 24 at the one-third mile track located just inside the Massachusetts state line east of Providence, RI.
Practice is slated to start at 1 p.m., and Bud Pole Qualifying is set for 4 p.m. The race is scheduled to start at about 7:30 p.m. A full program of racing for Seekonk's regular NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series classes will also be part of the evening's agenda.
Seekonk and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway are the second-smallest tracks on the Busch North circuit. Thompson Speedway is the smallest at one-quarter mile. Wolfe thinks the Tops Friendly Markets Racing Team will have a better short track setup for the Tommy Baldwin Racing-owned Dodge this time out.
"There are definitely a lot of short tracks in this series," Wolfe said. "It provides for some exciting racing for the fans, and the drivers know that anything can happen. The Tops Dodge was very tight in the last two races. Hopefully, we will have our setup perfect this time out."
Currently, Wolfe is 11th in Busch North Series points after three races. Last week he finished 17th at Lake Erie Speedway after cutting a tire late in the race while running ninth.
The Budweiser 150 will be taped to air on television by SPEED Channel (Adelphia Digital Cable Channel 122, Time Warner Digital Cable Channel 103) on Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) at 8 p.m.
Tops Markets, LLC is one of six retail operating companies under Ahold USA, one of the leading supermarket operations in the U.S. Tops currently operates 159 Tops Friendly Markets and 204 convenience stores in New York, Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio.
