Wolfe to lead Burnham Boilers 100 field to green.

5/17/02 Nazareth, PA -- Paul Wolfe was the fastest of the field in qualifying for Saturday's Burnham Boilers 100 after provisional pole-sitter Martin Truex, Jr. was disqualified for an improper carburetor. Prior to Truex Jr.'s lap being disqualified Wolfe had said, "I know if we keep at it, the poles will come." As it turned out Paul was right, he just had no idea how soon.

Paul and the SCOTT® team are excited about their chances on the 1.0 mile oval. During practice earlier in the day, Wolfe posted the fastest lap at 128.402 miles per hour. "This first Bud Pole is a big step for our team, and we're really excited for SCOTT® Products and Heinz USA, who came on board to get us to the track this year," Wolfe commented after hearing the news.

The Burnham Boilers 100 starts at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, May 18, 2002, and will be televised tape-delayed on SPEED Channel May 27, 2002 at 8 p.m. EST.
