Santerre Hoping To Make it Two for Two in the Castle Packs Power Car

Harrisburg, North Carolina - Defending NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series Champion, Andy Santerre and his #6 Bessey Motorsports team, are hoping to make it" Two for Two" in the Castle Packs Power/Aubuchon Hardware Chevrolet in the Local Dodge Dealers 150 at Lake Erie Speedway on Saturday night, July 10, 2004.

Santerre and the team are not only looking for two wins in two races, having won the Sunoco 150 at Holland International Speedway two weeks ago on June 26, 2004, but also to try and make it two wins at Lake Erie Speedway in the past two seasons.

Santerre took the checkered flag in the inaugural Local Dodge Dealers 150 in 2003 after making a dramatic move through the field after a late race pit stop where he changed two tires. He has high hopes to defend that title.

"Lake Erie is a great facility," Santerre, a Cherryfield, Maine native commented. "I am glad the Busch North Series came back here this year. We had tremendous success here last year and we've continued to improve our program every week since our visit here last season. I am looking for positive things from our team this weekend."

Santerre's sponsor for the Holland and Lake Erie events, Castle, has big plans for the weekend's events as well; hosting an Open House, Friday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at their Hi- Tech Training Center, 1957 Wager Road, Exit 29 off US I-90. Saturday, a track hospitality room will be buzzing with 100 Castle customers and employees.

Wal Blatter, President of Castle Products, states, "Our customers and employees have been waiting a whole year for the return of the Busch North Series to Lake Erie Speedway. New racing team T-shirts will be introduced promoting Andy Santerre and the Castle Packs Power #6 Chevrolet!"

Santerre is no stranger to the added pressure entertaining sponsors' guests brings to the weekend.

"Our primary sponsor, Aubuchon Hardware, brought 125 employees to the Aubuchon 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway last month and we finished 2nd," recalled the 35-year old Santerre. "Having people at the track adds a little pressure because you want your sponsors to be happy and their guests to have a good time." Santerre continues, "Castle has great products and great people and I am excited to have the chance to put their car in victory lane for the event."

Santerre and the Bessey Motorsports team will sport a special two-race paint scheme for the second and final time in 2004 at Lake Erie Speedway. The two-race paint scheme featuring associate sponsor, Castle Products, was in victory lane last year at Lake Erie Speedway and two weekends ago at Holland.

"It is always fun to change up the paint scheme," Santerre admitted. "It gives the team and fans something new to experience and it brings new energy into the team. In addition, it is a great marketing technique."

In addition to the Open House and Hospitality event, Castle plans to provide a Castle packs Power Pack to each of the Busch North teams in attendance. The Castle Packs Power Pack will include many of the Hi-Tech automotive products used by race teams across the country.

We've included a bottle of Castle Dragon Power Hi-Tech Fuel treatment to give the team's everyday vehicles extra power for their long treks home," Blatter said. "The professional knows that Castle can keep you ahead of the rest. Castle truly does Pack Power!"

The Local Dodge Dealers 150 will take the green flag at 8:00 PM on Saturday July 10, 2004.

NOTE: The Open House will be held at the Castle Hi-Tech Training Center (1957 Wager Road in Erie, Pennsylvania) on Friday, July 9, 2004 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a special guest appearance by two-time NASCAR Champion, Andy Santerre and his Busch North Series team.
