DOVER, Del.-- Paul Wolfe led an assault on the track record in Bud Pole Qualifying for Friday's MBNA All American Heroes 150 Busch North Series, NASCAR Touring race at Dover International Speedway. Wolfe recorded a lap of 24.315 seconds, 148.057 miles per hour around the high-banked one-mile concrete oval, edging Dale Quarterley by .054 seconds to record his second Bud Pole of the season. Matt Kobyluck, currently third in the Busch North Series standings, will start inside the second row flanked by three-time champion Jamie Aube.

Busch North Series leader Andy Santerre qualified 15th, one place behind his closest pursuer in the point race, Brad Leighton, while defending race winner Dale Shaw timed ninth fastest. The top 25 qualifiers all broke the existing Busch North Series track record, set in 1998. Last year's qualifying for this race was rained out.
