BEAVER FALLS, N.Y. (Aug. 3, 2004) -- Goodyear and Matt Kobyluck made NASCAR Grand National Busch North Series history when Kobyluck won the Kinney Drugs 150 at Adirondack International Speedway.

Kobyluck became the first driver in series history to win a race at Adirondack without making a pit stop. Goodyear became the first tire supplier to have one set of tires go the 150-lap distance and win on the high-banked, half-mile track.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier for the Grand National Division, which also includes the NASCAR West Series.

Kobyluck averaged 65.09 mph on his way to the victory. He beat points leader Andy Santerre to the finish by exactly one second. Mike Olsen, who is second in the standings, was third in the race. Joey McCarthy was fourth and Brian Hoar took fifth.

Rain washed out Busch Pole qualifying, but the race was not interrupted by weather.

Santerre, who has four wins this season, leads the championship hunt with 1,653 points. Olsen has not won yet this season, but has 1,616 points.
