Minersville, PA - (Aug. 31) - Heavy rain hit Big Diamond Raceway at 6 o'clock on Friday night, August 31 and forced the 22nd Annual Coal Cracker 100 for Modifieds to be postponed until Sunday night, September 2 at 7:30 PM. Although much of the infield was left underwater, there will be no problem in preparing the oval for the Sunday event. The highlight of the 2001 racing season at Big Diamond Raceway, the 22nd Annual Coal Cracker 100 will pay a cool $10,000 to the winner of the event that will be run over 100 green flag laps. No cautions will count but there will be a lap 50 red flag for a fuel stop. Drivers will not need to worry about getting caught in the pits changing an early flat tire or getting caught in an early tangle and losing laps under yellow before they can continue as only green flag laps will count. Also the fans will get to see a FULL 100 LAPS OF GREEN FLAG RACING for their money!

The roadrunners will also compete a 20-lap championship point feature on the Coal Cracker card that carries a 7:30 PM starting time on Sunday, September 2.
