Bryon Chew and Brian Hoar, who are battling for third in the series, earned positions on the second row in the 30-car field.

Mike Olsen, who needs only a 27th place finish to clinch his second Busch East Series title, qualified sixth with his only remaining rival, Sean Caisse, 10th fastest. In addition to Kobyluck, previous Lime Rock winners in the field are Brad Leighton (fifth) and Dale Quarterley (29th).
