MIAMI – Scott Zipadelli has been released from Turner Scott Motorsports.

Most recently, Zipadelli was the crew chief for Kyle Larson and the No. 42 Chevy in the Nationwide Series. This season Larson posted two wins, 14 top fives and 21 top 10 finishes in 28 starts. Although Larson was ineligible to run for the NNS title due to his Sprint Cup commitment, he had an impressive average finish of 8.4 under Zipadelli’s leadership.

Dylan Kwaniewski ran the balance of races in the No. 42 Chevy and finished in the top 10 twice in five starts.

Zipadelli, 45, was promoted from car chief to crew chief in 2007. His first assignment was with Kelly Bires at the No. 47 team owned by Tad Geschickter. He has 253 starts in eight seasons.

Team owner Harry Scott said on Saturday that he hopes to have his lineup set in the next two weeks. There have been rumblings that Ganassi Racing would take Larson and Kwasniewski’s NNS programs in house.

“I don’t want to race as much Nationwide stuff, but I would like to run a handful of races,” Larson told Motorsport.com on Friday.
