Wallace qualified 25th and rode in the 20s much of the race, which evolved into one of the most competitive of the Nationwide season.

“We had a pretty good car,” Wallace said. “Got into a groove and couldn’t manage to gain much ground, but we hung in there and had a good night against a lot of great cars. It was a fun night with the Bojangles’ folks on board and a good race to emphasize our involvement with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.”

Wallace stayed 17th in Nationwide driver points.

Kyle Busch won the race, leading 36 laps on the way to his 11th victory of the season. Austin Dillon kept the point lead.

The series next races Nov. 2 at Texas Motor Speedway. There are three races left on the schedule.
