How was your car throughout the race? "We had a pretty good car today. At some points in the race, we were running some pretty good lap times and making up some grounds. But, we put a set of tires on it that the car really didn't like and things all went to heck. We were just bad there for one run and got us put back in the pack a little bit. Overall, it was a decent day. Hopefully, we can use what we learned today and try to get out front tomorrow and lead some laps."
MICHAEL ANNETT, No. 15 Pilot Travel Centers Toyota Camry, Germain Racing
Finishing Position: 11th
Can you talk about your race today? "We definitely had to work on our car a little bit today, but I made it a long day because I qualified so bad on Thursday and had to start in the back. We were really good on long runs. We would be loose early and it would start coming to us, then we'd get a caution. I would tell them what it was doing and we would work on it. It would make it good for part of the run and not so good for the rest. We know what we got now, and we'll go back to the shop, and then to Nashville with an even better piece."
What is the importance of racing each weekend? "It just gives a lot more confidence being able to run every weekend. You can sit down and look at a schedule and think through your head what you need to do rather than not knowing where you're running next weekend. It's huge for confidence, and I have a team that I know can win, so I look forward to going to the track each weekend."
