Consistency Key for Menard's Nationwide Success

Concord, N.C. (April 14, 2010) -- After six races in 2010 Roush Fenway Nationwide driver Paul Menard sits in sixth position in the NWS point standings, while off to a career-best start in the series.

"We've had a good start to the season," said Menard. "The Roush Fenway cars are fast and the team is very solid. We've been able to be consistent, stay out of trouble and be there racing at the end."

Consistency has been the key for the No. 98 Menard's team. Menard is one of only five drivers in 2010 to have completed all 1,197 laps of Nationwide Series action during the first six races. He is joined on that list by Roush Fenway teammate Carl Edwards, he currently sits at second in the series' point standings.

Menard has three top-10 finishes thus far in 2010, but the Eau Claire, Wisc. native has only finished outside of the top 11 once in the six events. And while he has yet to lead a lap this season, he has also yet to miss one; lending to the consistency that has played a major role in his early success.

Menard and his team will look to build on that success this weekend when they visit Texas Motor Speedway, where Menard posted one of his strongest efforts last season; starting third and finishing fifth. In fact, Menard's pedigree at TMS is solid, having finished top 10 in three of his last four races, and having completed all but six of his 1,406 scheduled laps.
