YOUR FIRST DOUBLE DUTY DAY, 800 MILES, WHAT WAS YOUR DAY LIKE? "It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I felt like I did a good job handling everything this weekend. I had a fast Discount Tire Dodge. We struggled on restarts and lost all of our track position that we got. The car was real fast. I don't know if we were faster than the 18 (Kyle Busch) or 20 (Joey Logano), but I thought that we were similar. A strong run for us that's for sure. We did what we needed to do. Another solid finish for our Discount Tire Dodge."
WHAT SIMILARITIES DID YOU FIND IN THE CUP CAR WITH THE NEW REAR SPOILER AND THE NATIONWIDE CAR? "The biggest thing is track position sensitivity and drafting are really important in both cars. They're still two different monsters."
WAS FATIGUE AND ISSUE TODAY? "Yeah, it always affects you. It's just a matter if you want to admit it or not. I felt like I did a pretty good job of handling it. I'm pretty tired, but I had fun. My Discount Tire Dodge was good so that made it easier."
A GOOD POINTS DAY FOR THE 22 TEAM: "Awesome points day for us. We'll take every one of them. We know that it's a long year, but consistency is so important out here. I think we slipped to second in points, but we're right there knocking on the door of first-place."
PAUL WOLFE (Crew Chief, No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Charger)
"It was a pretty good day for us. We were fighting the car bottoming out for some reason. On restarts we would lose a lot of track position, and the air on restarts is so big here that is was like we were playing catch-up all day long. Brad did a great job. Balance wise we were free all day. The car had speed in it. It's just hard when you have to come from 12th to the top-five every run and that's what we were fighting."
JUSTIN ALLGAIER (No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger) Finished 11th
"Our day was OK. We made some adjustments on our Verizon Wireless Dodge to make our car a little better, but it never got great. It was a little too tight one run, and then a little loose on the next. We thought that we'd be right in the middle on that last run, and just didn't hit it. Then there were some guys that only took two tires on the last caution, one of them decided that it would be fun to block. We ended up losing some spots, and realistically should have been running fifth or sixth at that point. It is what it is. We'll pick up and move to Talladega and go for a win there for sure."
