NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Regulars to Run Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Richmond International Raceway

Richmond, Va. (September 3, 2008) -- When the green flag drops on the Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race "under the lights" at Richmond International Raceway on Friday, September 5, the star-studded field will include a number of Sprint Cup Series regulars chasing the checkered flag. On the preliminary entry list, nine Cup Series regulars are scheduled to be in the field for Friday's opening race of the NASCAR Doubleheader weekend at America's Premier Short Track.

Included in the list of Sprint Cup Series drivers scheduled to compete in the Emerson Radio 250 are Nationwide Series points leader Clint Bowyer, defending Nationwide Series champion Carl Edwards, two-time Nationwide Series champion Kevin Harvick, former Nationwide Series champion Greg Biffle, reigning Nationwide Series Raybestos Rookie of the Year David Ragan and Sprint Cup Series points leader Kyle Busch.

In total, the Sprint Cup Series regulars driving Friday night carry an impressive list of accolades, including four NASCAR Nationwide Series titles, three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Raybestos Rookie of the Year awards, four NASCAR Nationwide Series Raybestos Rookie of the Year awards and one Daytona 500 victory. Additionally, the group of Sprint Cup Series drivers scheduled to run in the Emerson Radio 250 collectively own 12 career victories at Richmond International Raceway.

The following Sprint Cup Series regulars will attempt to make the field: Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, David Ragan, David Reutimann and Elliott Sadler. Additionally, Marcos Ambrose, Jason Leffler and Tony Raines have all competed in Sprint Cup Series races this season and are scheduled to run in the Emerson Radio 250.

Tickets are also available for the Friday, September 5, Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. Friday's ticket also includes Fas Mart Pole Qualifying and practice for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400. Friday's reserved tickets are $45 (in advance) and $50 (on race day) and general admission tickets are $35 (in advance) and $40 (on race day). Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult in general admission sections on Friday only.
